Class Descriptions

Integral Hatha Yoga

Integral Hatha Yoga, seeks to integrate the mind, body and spirit, and is intended to inspire students with the tools they need in themselves to find fulfilment within, promote peace, while reducing stress and tension.Classes are gentle and non-competitive. With regular sustained practice, you can improve poor circulation, back pain, headaches, muscular & joint stiffness and rebuild your balance, physical and mental strength. On the beginner’s level it includes bodily postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama), cleansing practices (Kriyas), deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) and Meditation.

A self-massage therapy with stretching, incorporating a blend of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates & Balance using a small weightless aromatherapy–scented hand held ball accompanied by chill out music. The moves are used as a tension release technique for the muscles. The class concludes with deep relaxation in Yoga Nidra.

The moves, using your own body weight to roll on a ball, massages away restrictions to normal soft-tissue (muscle) movement from the neck, shoulders, through the spine, lower back and legs. By performing Tension Release techniques you can improve flexibility, balance, relieve stress and stiffness, energise and tone the body, makes stretching more efficient, increase performance, build strength and reduce injuries. Tension Release is very relaxing and rejuvenating. Body scanning (before and after) is encouraged to promote awareness of change in both physiology and psychology, from which, through the scanning process, movement is more efficient, uses less energy, consequently makes one stronger, more relaxed, relieves joint stress and enhances physical and functional pleasure- breathing, walking, running, dancing…
